Adhesive is sticky and gooey and does not come off painted surfaces easily, especially after being cooked in the sun for years. Take these steps to remove adhesive stickers from car paint and make room for your new interests. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Car soap Water Sponge Automotive adhesive remover Microfiber towels Detailing spray Step by Step : 1 Wash the car with car soap and a soft sponge. Work the adhesive in small circles with the wet sponge and soap. Peel the sticker off the car. Rinse the car and let it dry completely. 2 Soak a small spot on the microfiber towel with adhesive remover. Apply the remover to the remaining adhesive and work the microfiber towel in small circles to remove the adhesive. Work the towel and add more remover until the adhesive is gone. 3 Mist detailing spray over the area where the adhesive was. Wipe the detailing spray with a clean microfiber towel. Discontinue heating. 3 Slowly peel away the sticker at a 90-degree angle, being careful not to cause any rips or tears. Discard the sticker. 4 Pour equal amounts of alcohol and water into a spray bottle to remove any remnants of ink left behind by the sticker. Spray the area thoroughly and allow the solution to soak for a few minutes. 5 Scrub away the ink after giving the solution time to set.
